History

To the community, WJC Federal may appear to be a new financial institution, but  much to the contrary, this credit union has been in the area for more than 30 years. For 29 years, CM Federal was a single sponsor credit union serving only employees of Columbus McKinnon and their families.

In 2011, the 29th anniversary of CM Federal, the Board of Directors made the decision to move from the CM building.  In March we made the move to 205 West Laurel Avenue in Damascus.

May 23, 2012 we received approval from the National Credit Union Administration to become a community credit union. Our field of membership covering Washington County, Virginia and Johnson County, Tennessee.  Hence the name “WJC Federal Credit Union."

WJC Federal Credit Union is constantly expanding our services to better serve our members. Our field of membership includes anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships in Washington County, Virginia and Johnson County, Tennessee. If you are an immediate relative or permanent household member of an existing WJCFCU member, you are also eligible to join.

A list of our services is listed on this website.

Serving our members is our top priority.  Come by the office and get to know us.  We look forward to seeing you.
